The Purpose Of Ketosis

The “standard” American diet has a huge amount of carbohydrates, because that is where we usually get our energy from. The carbs are burnt to give us energy, to help the body functions properly.

Ketosis High FatIn a keto diet, you are going to break up with carbs. You will be able to drastically reduce my carb intake to a minimum. We should hate the carbohydrates in this diet because they have evil intentions.

Our bodies are amazing and adapt, to look for something else to get its energy. With not enough carbohydrates, your body will burn stored fat. Victory!

You see, when your body burns carbohydrates it produces glucose. When it burns fat, it produces ketones. You are in a state of ketosis, where ketone levels in the blood is optimal. And when in ketosis, you’ll notice good things happening in your body. Not just weight loss, but also improved the tone and clarity of mind.

Yeah! About 20% of the diet will be proteins such as red meat, eggs and salmon. The last 5% will be low-carb products.

♣ Grass fed meat – beef, Buffalo, lamb, pork, chicken and other poultry

♣ Oily, wild-caught fish– salmon, sardines, tuna, trout, cod, catfish, etc.
